It all begins with our location, Pengerkatu 9 Helsinki. A “petit” restaurant is nicely tucked away in Kallio from all the noises. Embracing the hidden location, we want to deliver a nice, cosy neighbourhood restaurant that offers not-too-expensive foods and wines. We want to create a friendly and welcoming ambience for all our customers.

Our food philosophy is very international and we love the fusion concept. We create our dishes using building blocks of different cuisines worldwide and seasonal ingredients from Finland and Europe. We want to turn The Alley into an unconventional playground of flavours

    We focus on modern cuisine with bold flavours, using seasonal products. We create our dishes using building blocks of different cuisines around the world, combined with seasonal ingredients from Finland.

    Our winelist changes seasonally with the food menu. We want to offer natural wines at an affordable price. We concentrate on entry-level natural wines from small and local producers in Europe

  • A martini cocktail with olives

    The vibe

    Nicely tucked away in Pengerkatu 9, we want to utilise our hidden location to become a neighborhood restaurant. Our interior has a French vintage vibe with a funky and laid-back ambiance

  • A glass of a scotch on the rocks

    The service

    We are a very small and international team with 7 different nationalities. We are not just workmates, we are a small family and we always try to deliver the best service to our customers

Due to the “petit” size of our restaurant, and to assure the best customer experience, we can only accommodate reservations for groups of up to 7 people. However, we always have the window seats available for walk-ins.
